Our team offer the state of the art robotic approach to treating your prostate cancer. Dr. Rastinehad uses information from our prostate MR imaging to tailor your surgical care. By using this detailed information we can offer more tailored approach and spare more of those nerves that help your erections.
Our specialized care starts when your PSA is elevated. The first time through our doors we will take you step by step through the screening process. Dr. Rastinehad is one of the initial group of researchers from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to develop the UroNav, Invivo fusion biopsy device. This equipment allows us to visualize and track all biopsies with a goal of not missing cancers that maybe outside the normally sampled areas of the prostate.
Large Kidney Stone Extraction
Nephrostomy tubes are placed under ultrasound guidance, fluoroscopic, computed tomography scanning, or fusion guidance. The indications include pre-surgical placement for stone extraction and obstructed urinary system. What does this mean? If you are a patient that has large kidney stones your urologist may have our team obtain access to your kidney so he can then remove the large stones easily. Also, if you have a fever and the urine is blocked from draining to your bladder from the kidney a stent or nephrostomy tube can be placed.
